since it snowed TWICE this week, I’ve gone a little cabin crazy. Wednesday I almost scrubbed the floor on my hands and knees just for entertainment. (I said almost) It’s not toooo bad yet. as long as Arrow gets the pieces of food, that buys us at least another 2 weeks before we need to ‘wet clean’ because our roomba gets run about twice a week. Violet has been sick. Just a little cough, but it’s tough to hear her cough so terribly in her sleep. I know she’s uncomfortable, but her pediatrician says it may get worse before it gets better and we’re doing everything we can (humidifier, saline drops, booger-sucking, etc…) AND on the way home from the doctor’s office I ran over a screw. So I’ve been car-less a bit. I find myself counting down the minutes until Ryan gets home so I can at least bundle up and go for a walk around the block. Hopefully she’s better soon and I can get our normal schedule back! She’s sleeping a ton, at least.
I baked some delicious blueberry cake with a cream cheese filling on Wednesday…
and took a pot of hot, homemade chicken noodle soup to our friends and neighbors who FINALLY got to bring home their baby girl from the NICU! Meet Isabelle (Izzy), Violet’s new BFF! She was born 6 weeks early and just weighed 4 lb 4 oz… she’s still SO teeny. And she makes the loudest little grunts. The girl babies haven’t met yet (because of Vie’s cold) but we can’t wait for long stroller walks this Spring and Summer. They’ll be in the same class and chase after the same boys, too. Oh, the drama of having a girl.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
