Where to begin with this fantastic five?! Justin is a rancher and Ali is a jewelry designer. They live in Hastings with their brood— Kingzlee, Stuhrling, and Kruzann [their human children] as well as horses, long horn cattle, miniature horses, a couple asses, and a hardworking doggie named Concho. I traveled out to see them a few weeks ago and was so awe-struck by their uber creative 2 story home they built themselves. Ali is artistic in every way— not only does she make the most beautiful metal pieces of jewelry, she has a deep appreciation for the artists around her; they both do. It seemed that every room has been touched by a local artisan: their welded custom railing curving up to the second floor; massive paintings and murals on every wall; even their patio furniture is sculptural and truly one-of-a-kind. Justin’s woodsy roots and Ali’s need to be surrounded by bold color and art are blended seamlessly. I really wish you could see it for yourselves! My poorly worded descriptions just aren’t even coming close to describe their home on a hill. But the important thing to know about them is that they love their family so much and are just wonderful people I’m blessed to know. We drove around their property in their Gator scouting out the perfect locations to shoot at—and boy were there A LOT. Here are just a few from our shoot— enjoy!
