oh, the little things…

i’m thankful for the obvious… food, shelter, clean water, my family and friends, etc…  but it’s those gosh darn little everyday things that make me smile bigger and only I can appreciate:

  • I’m thankful for the shoddy drywall work in the yoga studio I attend  [in some small places— her space is very lovely overall] it helps me focus on the popped nailhead during our balancing poses
  • I give thanks that Toby chooses the gross green shag carpet in the basement to occasionally poop on instead of our nice, expensive rugs upstairs. looks like grass to him, I guess…
  • I’m thankful for random gifts and cards that Mona always sends me : )
  • It makes me happy when Linda, at our local post office, saves twine for me because she knows how much I like to wrap my packages with it
  • I’m thankful for Brooklyn, the greyhound lab mix at the rescue, for getting adopted. not only for her sake, but for my legs.’ she would always seek me out like a heat missile to pounce and get my pants hella muddy.
  • I’m grateful for our Ninja blender. Without it, i wouldn’t be able to make my delicious low cal blueberry smoothie every afternoon.
  • we BOTH are head over heels in love with our photos from our time with Tara Whitney in California. [just got them back. h o l d i n g back to stay up til midnight to get them posted…]
  • I’m thankful for my Aunt and Uncle to live in Lincoln now. we missed them so much when me moved from Kearney to Wahoo.
  • and I give thanks that Ryan will eat almost any vegetable now. but still not mushrooms for the record. sigh. maybe next Thanksgiving.
Hope you all find yourselves happy and healthy surrounded by lots of delicious food today. God Bless you and our amazing country.
