went to new orleans for PPA and we had an absolute ball. a HUGE tradeshow, seeing new products, exploring the city, admiring the architecture, soaking all the smells and sounds in. having never experienced the city before hurricane katrina, i may not be the best person to describe it, but there’d be one section of a block all brand new and the building right next to it would be old and awesomely crummy. it was very progressive, but at the same time still how new orleans is portrayed in every movie. we all agree that we won’t miss the bathroom attendants, though. what a yucky job. haha
we ate some great food …and to explain the lovely little mermaids…. they graced the rim of every drink from Lucy’s. of course they had to travel with us on every adventure. ….hmmmm what else….. we got to see a movie being made! Mark Ruffalo waved at us. we felt so special being 30 feet from him. and we had one fancy night for the awards banquet. congratulations to Jason Deyo and Brian Baer for their awards!! so proud of you nebraska gents : )
sadly, we rarely felt motivated to lug around our SLR’s …. but we were able to capture our good times in instagram. (pssst… are you ON IT YET?!! the time is now. it’s addicting.)
….playing catch-up today before I leave again for PPN Winter Conference in GI tonight. laundry and napping. : ) and i just ordered some prints from HERE. gotta wait 2-5 weeks to get them, but they promise to be fabulous. can’t wait! i also plan to make a book for us on blurb after i get everyone else’s image files. : ) happy to share our travels! we pretty much laughed non-stop for 5 days. <3 my photog girls. enjoy!
