New Year’s is upon us and, of course, that means new beginnings. it’s been a great year full of good-byes, new places, and new friendships. and starting my business over in this end of the state has proven a challenge, but nonetheless a grand opportunity. I’ve grown and tweaked… i know what works for me here and what does not. And especially moving nearer to larger cities where it seems everyone claims to be a photographer, it’s not easy. to have longevity you must stand out. do something different and fresh. but i’ve already learned that you just have to do your best in a land where everyone is doing the exact same thing. to not be a monkey. and I’m not a monkey!
so now, i’m announcing my pricing for all sessions booked in 2012 (current clients: if you’re already scheduled and paid your deposit for a shoot in 2012, the new pricing does not apply to your already scheduled shoot) But not only have I updated pricing, I’m offering a whole NEW session option! see all the details regarding new pricing and updated policies on my website HERE. I have a lot of reasons for offering more options. Mainly because it makes me sad to think that a majority of my work isn’t getting printed when I grant a DVD. I don’t like to think about the fact that the images I work so hard on end up collecting dust on a disc somewhere in a desk drawer. rotting. enjoyed by no one. not saying that happens 100% of the time (because I absolutely know it doesn’t), but I just don’t even want to think that it happens. So the new package is a print package in which you purchase your prints from me. A DVD option will still be offered, too. for a quick glance at new pricing, click HERE. see collections HERE. and don’t forget to email with specific questions or to schedule a shoot of your very own. : )
for 2012….i look forward to a year of happy thoughts, a year of challenge, forgiveness, and balance. No un-savory thoughts and maybe some unexpected wonders along the way. and ideas are just oozing out of me already for the new year : ) what a fantastic feeling!
what YOU can plan on from me are lots of giveaways in 2012! First off, I’m giving away this lovely 2012 fruit calendar given by Rifle Paper Co! i’ll have Ry pick a winner at random in a few days… just leave a comment on this post and tell me where you’d hang this functional piece of art! you can also hop over to my Facebook fan page and leave a comment there to enter…yup…TWICE! Hope everyone has a very safe and happy NeW YeAR!
Amy Kuchera - I would hang it in our kitchen. Yes boring I know but I have never had a calendar in our home because I think the normal flip ones are so boring and ugly and the kitchen is the life of our home. If a calender is going to hung in there it needs to be a unique one. Miss having you in Kearney!
Sheila - I must have this! I had a calendar last year and not one for this year! And I’ve been thinking to myself – OH NO! I need a new calendar and not just any calendar will do! Where or WHERE will I find a suitable calendar! And then I read your blog. And now I KNOWN what calendar I need.
It will hang in the kitchen where it will distract innocent guests from my awful Wall Paper giving them something marvelous to ponder. “Why what a lovely orange and by the way you have an appointment Tuesday at 2pm.” They’ll say!
Megan - This would be PERFECT in my art studio. Colorful yet simple and i LOVE fruit. I hope you have a fantastic 2012!
Megan - I would hang this in my kitchen 🙂 Where I wake up early to have a good breakfast. It would be something pleasant to see before getting my day started 🙂
