but for today, here is a fun interview with Karla for you to get to know her [and her girl dogs Charly and Maddie] . She’s not only pretty and funny, but she’s probably the most honest person I know. We look forward to hearing from you soon, Karla! Enjoy : )
Stacy: I already know you love dogs the best out of the entire animal kingdom : ) what is it about this animal that makes them your favorite?
KARLA: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. They truly are your best friend. They are entertaining, fuzzy, loving, loyal, amazing creatures that do love you unconditionally!
Stacy: What’s your dream job?
KARLA: To be a runway model! I would LOVE to strut the catwalks all over the world. To meet the designers. To have my hair and makeup done for me!!
Stacy: If you could travel with the girl dogs anywhere, where would you take them? why?
KARLA: We don’t get to travel with Charly and Maddie. My answer is pretty boring. I’d take the girl dogs to San Diego and we’d walk along the bay and enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery. And it would be perfectly acceptable to sit in a restaurant’s patio area with the girls! They would love it.
Stacy: If your husband, Terry, was a dog….what breed would he be? haha
KARLA: If Terry were a dog, I’d have to say he’d be a white Labrador retriever. The lab part because he’s intelligent and faithful. He has a good temper and he was easy to train. The color white because he doesn’t get tan!
Stacy: What are your thoughts on feeding dogs from the table? yay? or nay..
KARLA: I’d probably not recommend feeding directly from the table because I would think that would teach your dogs to beg. I cook chicken and feed it to my dogs in their food dishes with some regular kibble. People food can be good for your furkids – in the right quantities and the right type of people food.
Stacy: What’s the dogs favorite treat?
KARLA: Charly and Maddie love a Greenie dental treat every once and awhile. I give them a little saucer of yogurt each night. Charly seems to remind me about the yogurt if I forget. Smart little bugger.

Makala Williams - Our black lab, Millie, was taken from her home when she was just 4 months old. Her and 3 of her brothers were abused and neglected, starving and scared. They were all given to a local vet because the Humane Society was full. The vet agreed to take them for 3 days and try to find them homes. Whoever was left after those 3 days would be put down. My husband and I were newly (very new…5 days!) weds and were starting to talk about getting a puppy. When I heard about Millie, I knew she would be perfect for our new family! Now 1 1/2 years later, Millie is a curious, silly, great big sister to her 9 month old (human) brother Maxon!

My rescued pug is Addy. She’s not aware she’s a pug. Or a dog. She’s pretty sure that she’s a princess. And bossy. But I love her.
