how do we give?

THE PATHS WE TAKE….PART II.

So now I’ve told you my career path until now.

And who have I thanked?

God.

Yup…that Guy.

And I had an Oprah “ah ha” moment in church a few months ago. I even jotted notes down on the bulletin.

(We are Lutheran, btw.)

Our pastor asked us a great question: “How do we give thanks to God for all of our blessings?”

By giving ourselves.

The talents that He has given us must be used to love one another.

God doesn’t give us our talents to satisfy ourselves for our own happiness or benefit. God blesses us all with unique qualities to serve Him by putting our talents to great use.

I believe that every single event in my life until now has has prepared me to realize my talents and utilize them to serve. I have good days and bad days just like everyone, but I know that by fulfilling my dreams and pursuing my talents everyday pleases God and by serving others, it shows my gratitude.

I sure may have been talented at xray, too. But it wasn’t a God-given gift like photography is to me.

Photography, to me, is joy in it’s purest form; the celebration of life; and praising the beauty in God’s creation.

it is very magnificent when you stop to think of the winding and intertwining web-weaving God does for us to get us in a place to be thankful, isn’t it?
