Last night I was volunteering at S.C.L.P. and A Christmas Song came on the radio as I was filling water bowls.
It was enough to make me tear up. All the doggies alone in their kennels at Christmas.
But then I thought of all the animals that are not cared for or loved who HAVE homes. Not to mention the strays.
Then I thought, these little guys and gals in front of me may be in the best home they’ve ever had. They are SO loved by everyone who cares for them at the rescue. They get fed twice a day; out to play 4 times a day; head scratches and a warm bed. They even got some Christmas stockings today from a sweet family.
Today was a good day.
Please make sure all the pets in your life are safe and warm this holiday season and pray for those who aren’t.
Karla - I do pray for the homeless animals. I pray that they have shelter. Bless the shelters and all of the loving, dedicated volunteers who give up their time and talents to give love to these innocent, furry friends who love us unconditionally.
mona - This warms my heart. I love that a kind, thoughtful, giving person gave all of the sweet animals stockings! Makes me smile from ear to ear. I’d love to be able to adopt each and every furry being.
