a rainy week

Great time of year to take a nap… and our landscaping is looking good!

It’s true what they say… the first year after a planting, your vegetation ‘sleeps.’ It doesn’t grow at all. The work is done beneath the soil; establishing roots. The next year, they ‘creep.’ They grow a little bit (that’s our plant this year, year #2) and then they LEAP! So we’ll look forward to that. Then our strategic placement will make more sense (i.e.: to cover the air conditioner on the North side of the house).

This week we’ve done a lot of hanging out.

And then last Sunday we went to Central City to my check out my Aunt and Uncle’s new lake house. So AmaZING! IT’s on the cutest little lake there ever was. I kind of like to imagine we’re in cape cod, since it’s on sand and all. Hope to post more images when the house is complete. I’m sure we’ll have our fair share of memories here in the future. <3

I love our family!
