have a wonderful weekend

it’s been an unusual week. I think it’s because I had a workshop on Monday… which seemed like Saturday. Then everyday after that was packed full of meetings and shoots. So needless to say I’m a little bit exhausted by today! But I’m trying to rest. Shooting a wedding tonight! And trying to use up things in our fridge before leaving for the weekend. So in case you drive by, we’ll be the ones grilling out in the driveway at lunchtime. : ) bbq chicken boobies and asparagus, anyone?

hope you all have a great weekend.

lyndie + jonathan’s growing family

just when I thought my friend had the tiniest baby bump, I’m proven wrong. It’s Lyndie that is carrying around a basketball. These guys are moving to the East coast very soon, but they wanted to capture this time in their lives before leaving Nebraska. So glad I got to meet you guys! And little Gigi is just the sweetest little thing. Great big sister potential.

MARTY CERNIK

Marty is a modest mouse. you can tell by his saucer-like eyeballs. very skeptical. but totally has everyone wrapped around his long, tubular body. adopted from SCLP last winter, Marty has it pretty fantastic. he gets to live at Brent and Whitney‘s beautiful house, has a pretty pimpin’ wardrobe, and doesn’t lack in the cuddle department. he is their baby until a real one comes along..see proof of it HERE. ; )

..and he follows his Mama EVERYWHERE.

I’d love to photograph your pet! click HERE for details.

Happy Friday!

Karen

some sad news over the weekend… my friend, Karen, lost her battle with cancer.

her family is in our thoughts and prayers.

way too young to leave this earth in our humble, human opinion.

but God must have marvelous plans for our Karen up there.

see her full posts from last year HERE and HERE.

I’m so thankful that this day was captured. Karen was healthy and laughing with her two men and the sun was shining. my last memory of Karen; strong and beautiful.

bits and pieces of last week… spring is slow in coming. But here’s to a PRODUCTIVE one!

lots to accomplish this week. some good news: wedding season is here!

our magnolia tree is in full bloom and it’s so beautiful.

this is how all rivers start…  and we have one starting in our mud pit of a backyard. frogs: go nuts.

2 more friends successfully addicted to sushi blu.

my cousin and his girlfriend had us over for a bbq in their new house. but it was cold, so naturally, we sat in front of the fire and watched a movie instead.

packing for my first wedding of the season!

stolen sprigs from our neighbor’s shrub. shhhh don’t tell.

picked up a couple nursery plants…the one on the left is called ‘hot and nasty’

looking forward to warm, sunny weather so very soon!

winston

Winston’s parents scheduled a Pet Pic Package because they are sooo so happy with their adoption from SCLP. The day they drove from Lincoln to meet and greet, it was between a bulldog name Lizzie and a lab/greyhound mix named Winston. Long story short, Lizzie was just too “snorty.”

He and I had a bond during his time at the rescue… he has a way of leaning against you for a scratch. Not to mention his unique…smile. Snaggletooth is his nickname. That’s our Winston!

His new family  LOVE him. Best dog they’ve ever had, they say.
